This is a very clean and well run park. As previously stated the pull throughs are pretty close together. It's location is perfect for trips either to Galveston, the Space Center, or into Houston. We would stay here again.

This is a very nice campground and the people could not have been nicer. They do not sell propane but when we asked they offered to take our tank and have it filled when they were taking theirs. As previous reviews have stated it is some distance fron Colorado Springs but it's worth it for the isolation. Several campgrounds we noticed near the sights were very crowded and near busy roads. We would stay here again.

We loved this campground. It is close to shopping areas, walking paths, and the golf course. Our only complaint: the Wi-Fi was very undependable but the owners are aware and trying to get it fixed. You can still go in the recreation center and hook up directly. All the previous reviews are right. One of the best parks we've been to. We hope to come back in the future.

What a beautiful campground. The Salmon River was just out our back window and what a view! The wonderful hosts and have made River's Fork Park a place you want to go back to and stay for a while. This is Lewis and Clark country with lots to see as well as all the recreation along the river and in the National Forests. We hope to return again and stay longer.

We found this campgound to be less than what we expected. Everything in the previous reviews is right, and although it has the feel of a national forest it's also very busy. There is a restaurant in the campground with lots of coming and going. The only access to the Wi-Fi is in the lounge by the office. If you're camped at the top of the hill it's a long walk down. There are only 2 bath houses and several times we had to wait since most campers did not follow the 10-minute shower sign. There are sites for big rigs but some are narrow and difficult to get in. The staff is great: very friendly and helpful but we never felt "at home" and would not choose to stay here again.

As previously stated this park is very reasonably priced for the area and is in a wonderful location. We enjoy the National Forests and could find good hikes without having to drive a great distance. The couple that manage the park are great and very accommodating. We would stay here again.

Dead Horse Point matches the Grand Canyon. We stayed there for a week. The only water in the park is "trucked" in daily from Moab so they ask that you fill your fresh water tank before arriving. They do have a place at the bathroom (no showers) where you can fill a jug. We loved it there- Canyon Lands is close by and Arches is about 30 miles toward Moab. Wonderful hiking both at Dead Horse Point and at the National Parks. Our only complaint was the gnats- or what's called no- seeums. Could not find anything to repel them. Supposedly just a problem late spring and early summer. We would love to go back.

This is a well run park. Owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We loved the location. Capitol Reef is not far and there are several scenic drives you can do in a day. We had a pull through site with a wonderful view. We would stay here again.

We love the National Park Campgrounds and this one did not disappoint us. From your campsite you can walk to the rim and access several trails as well as get to the lodge and the visitors center. We made reservations because we have a big rig and were glad we did. Without a doubt we would stay here again.

This campground has many positives but some negatives that would cause us to question staying here again. The road noise is constant but you get so you can ignore it. My main complaint was that we had several "extended" families camped aound us. All had dogs that they neither kept on leashs or picked up after them. This seemed to be the rule rather than the exception. All the camp hosts or Rangers had to do was ride through the park and see the rules were not being followed. As far as I know none of the offenders were reprimanded or cited.

As stated in earlier reviews the main reason for staying here is the proximity to the Park. The sites are narrow and there is a lot of activity. The only dealing we had with the office was when we checked in and they could not have been nicer. The shuttle to the Park runs right by the campground and we found we did not need to use our own vehicle at all. We could ride the shuttle to Zion and could walk into Springdale. We would stay here again.

This is a beautiful campground with the mountain views right outside your rig. The main drawback we found was having to fight the Tucson traffic to go anywhere. Most of the sights we wanted to see were either south or east of Catalina and you have to go through Tucson to get there. This was our first trip to the area and even though we liked the campground we would look for one on the south side of town on our next visit.

I agree with all the previous reviews. The hosts have made a first class campground here at Boot Hill. It is a perfect place to stay while taking in the area sights or if you just want a nice clean place for the night. We stayed here in a fifth wheel and would not stay anywhere else in Alamogordo. Our rate was $125 for the week plus electricity.

We agree with everything the previous reviewer wrote. BJ's really grew on us as did the whole area. We were there almost 2 weeks and wish it were longer. Unfortunately it was early in the season and we were the only one's on site most of our visit so did not get to enjoy the gatherings around the fire. The couple that take care of the park and really make this a wonderful place to want to come back to. We most certainly will be back.

This Park grew on us. When we arrived the site we had reserved was taken by what looked like a long term camper. This is an older park, and for some reason they have big square posts at odd places around each site. It severely limits where you can park a big rig. Some of the hookups are not convenient. After several contacts with the office we were given a site that we were able to angle into and access the water and sewer. The location is beautiful- right on the Hudson and there is a stop within walking distance where you can catch a train right into the city. We would stay there again, but wish they would reconfigure the sites to be more user friendly.

We loved this park. Numerous hiking trails are wide and clean. Even though it is not right on the lake, it is only a short walk down an asphalt trail to a very nice swimming beach. Sites are some of the largest we've seen, and very well kept. We would definitely go back.

A beautiful state park. We were there 11 days and had a great site right on the water. We had non-camping family members that rented one of the Villas and we were close enough to walk back and forth. Our only problem was we arrived with full black and grey water tanks and the dump was not very convenient. You have to go all the way around the camping area to get to the dump and then go some distance to turn around and return to the camping area. We would definitely camp there again.

We stayed in the beach campground, and had a wonderful site with the ocean out our back window. Restrooms are clean. The water has an unpleasant taste so we would advise you take drinking water. Only other problem we found was the location of the dump station. We have a 36 foot 5th wheel and there is a pretty sharp turn to get back on the highway after you dump.

I agree with the last review. If you have a large rig like ours you need to call make sure you are assigned to one of the longer sites. Nice park with a trail to the lake. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. New restrooms that are clean and well maintained. We would camp there again.

The Park has recently upgraded it's electric and now has 50 amps. There are a few sites with sewer. We stopped here to see the caverns, and were not disappointed. Very interesting. Our biggest problem was the mosquitos. They were terrible. Not just after sunset but during the day too.You have to keep yourself sprayed well with repellent. There is lots of poison ivy on all the wonderful trails and around the campsites as well. It is a beautiful park. Sites and facilities are clean and staff is friendly and helpful but we would probably not go back since we've seen the caverns.

This is a beautiful park. Large sites. Both pull through and back in. Wonderful places to walk with large moss draped trees. White Springs is a quaint little town within walking distance from the park. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here because of the ease to go into New Orleans. Sites are clean, long enough for big rigs and spaced far enough apart for privacy. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We overnighted here on our way to New Orleans. The office staff were young, inexperienced, and not very knowledgeable. We stayed in the North Campground and it is 4 miles from the entrance. Ground around the campsites was trashy. As a previous reviewer stated you have to choose your site with care. Many are very sloped and short. Would probably not stay here again if we have another choice.

Very nice place to stop for the night, or for several days. Wayne and Sue are wonderful hosts. Louisville is 15 miles away with lots of history. It was the first permanent capitol of Georgia and has an original Market House in the middle of town. We would definitely stop at Boss's again.

We were on our way to Kansas and stopped at Lake Murray for the night. It was very easy to get to from I-35. Camp Hosts were great and very helpful. We drove farther than we planned on our way back to Texas just to stay there. Outstanding State Park.
